Alfonso Rao

Born in Italy, Dr Alfonso Rao graduated from the University of Chieti with distinction.

He has spent three years at the Eastman Dental Institute of London, where he completed a course in Implant Dentistry. He also has completed training from the Global Institute for Dental Education in Los Angeles, in 2014.

Over the last few years Alfonso has dedicated a lot of personal time in teaching and mentoring dentists in implantology and as an opinion leader and speaker for Straumann and Dentsply. He’s has been a lead instructor for other implant course providers but decided to launch DELTA to provide a different approach to learning implant dentistry.

He is involved with the local community (Bristol) of dental professionals holding regular CPD events in the practice to promote education especially of other young dentists.

Anally originates from Mexico. In 2010, she moved to the UK and started a career as a Dental Nurse. Since then, Anally has obtained her Dental Nurse Qualification (NEBDN) and worked in multidisciplinary clinics. Assisting specialists such as Endo Specialist, Perio Specialist and Orthodontist. She has also completed courses in Impression Taking, Itero and Trios Scanning, Photography, Radiography/CBCT, Sedation, and Straumann implant training post-qualification.
Currently, Anally works as Practice Manager/Tco/Senior Implant Nurse at Queen Square Implant Suite. She has discovered her passion for implantology and works full-time alongside Alfonso Rao.  Anally is committed to sharing her knowledge and continuously enhancing her skill set. Additionally, she works as a clinical tutor for dental nurses and has been actively involved in organizing implant courses for dentists at Dental Delta Academy for the past 6 years.

Arnaldo Castellucci

Arnaldo Castellucci

Dr. Castellucci graduated in Medicine at the University of Florence in 1973 and he specialized in Dentistry at the same University in 1977. From 1978 to 1980 he attended the Continuing Education Courses on Endodontics at Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry and in 1980 he spent four months in the Endodontic Department of Prof. Herbert Schilder. Since then, he has a limited practice on Endodontics. Past President of the Italian Endodontic Society S.I.E., Past President of the International Federation of Endodontic Associations I.F.E.A., Active Member of the European Society of Endodontology E.S.E., Active Member of the American Association of Endodontists A.A.E., he has been Assistant Professor of Endodontics at the University of Siena Dental School and then at the University of Florence Dental School. Now is Assistant Professor of Endodontics at the University of Cagliari Dental School and Assistant Professor of Micro-Surgical Endodontics at the Specialty of Oral Surgery of the University Federico II of Naples. He has been the Editor of “The Italian Journal of Endodontics ” and of “The Endodontic Informer”. He is the Editor in Chief of Endo Tribune, Founder and President of the “Warm Gutta-Percha Study Club” and of the Micro-Endodontics Training Center, where he teaches and gives hands- on courses. He published more than 60 articles on Endodontics in the most prestigious Endodontic Journals. International lecturer, he gave presentations and courses in 56 different countries around the world.

Ashish Soneji

After graduating with honours, Ash completed Senior House Officer roles in Restorative and Oral surgery at Guys’ Hospital in London Bridge.

He then gained the MJDF diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons in London. Committed to self-development, Ash regularly attends postgrad courses and has learned from some of the world’s best.

Ash is very passionate about his work and is committed to providing high-quality dentistry and care for his patients.

Ash holds certificates in Cosmetic and Advanced Restorative Dentistry and Implant Dentistry. Amongst being shortlisted for many awards, He won the Aesthetic Dentistry Award in the Tooth Whitening category as well as the Best Young Dentist South West in 2018.

 
Colin Campbell

Colin Campbell

Colin is a specialist in Oral Surgery and implant surgeon, based in Nottingham at The Campbell Clinic. He is he Principal and Founder of The Campbell Clinic. Colin has lectured nationally and internationally on the subject of Sinus Augmentation and over the past 15 years has adopted a simultaneous Sinus Augmentation approach, which reduces the time for treatment dramatically for patients. This technique has been published and presented many times, and this day workshop is designed to give an overview and introduction to the technique.

 
Dipesh Kothari

Dipesh Kothari

Dipesh is a clinician with practice limited to implant dentistry. His training pathway has been comprehensive, culminating in a Masters in Implantology in 2018. He is an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Bristol and lectures on Implantology for various platforms including an MSc programme. Dipesh is passionate about implant dentistry and education and has dedicated personal time to run an implant study club, a podcast aimed at young implant dentists and is an ambassador for the young ITI.

 
Federico Foschi

Federico Foschi

Dr. Federico Foschi graduated with honours from the Alma Mater Studiorum of Bologna.

He accomplished a PhD in Endodontic Microbiology at the Forsyth Institute, leading to the IADR Pulp Biology award. He moved to the UK, as Lecturer in Endodontology at King’s College London. He became Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England after completing the five-year training in Restorative Dentistry at Guy’s Hospital, London.

He works part time in specialist practice and as Consultant/Senior Lecturer and program director of the MSc in Endodontics of the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences at King’s College. He published 49 peer-reviewed papers and two book chapters. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He is appointed visiting Professor at the I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University. He is the current Training Program Director for Endodontics on behalf of Health Education England.

Frederico originates from Portugal. After graduating from Porto, he held a post at the university as a clinical assistant, worked in private practice and a private hospital.

Frederico completed his MSc in Endodontics with Distinction at the prestigious King’s College in London. He exclusively practices endodontics and collaborates as a clinical tutor at the Delta Dental Academy in Bristol. He is also a UK Key Opinion Leader for the award-winning German microscope brand CJ OPTIK and Eighteenth Medical.

Dr Ferreira is a member British Endodontic Society (BES), the European Society of Endodontology (ESE), the British Academy of Microscope Dentistry (BAMD) and the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry (AMED)

Imran qualified from Bristol University in 2006 and following subsequent hospital posts in the South West between 2007-2009, he completed his Masters in Implantology between 2010-2014 with distinction.

Imran became Practice Principal at Cheltenham & Cotswold Dental in 2020 and his main referral work remains implant and restorative aesthetic cases. He has a huge passion for mentoring & teaching; and in particular dental photography to document his surgery and outcomes.

 
Jon Bassanini

Jon Bassanini

Expert in: Occlusion, TMD and Restorative Dentistry Dr Jon Bassanini graduated with Honours from Madrid in 2009. Shortly after, he moved to the UK, where he started working as a general dental practitioner. Jon has completed a three-year Diploma in Restorative Dental Practice at the Eastman Dental Institute (London), for which he was awarded distinction. In addition, he has an MSc in Conservative Dentistry from the Eastman Dental Institute too. Jon completed his MSc in 2018 and he was awarded distinction. He also won the prize for best MSc graduate student within the Prosthodontic department. He is involved in teaching occlusion and TMD management in the UK and Spain.

Kit Spears

Kit is a multi award-winning implant dentist, practicing in Surrey and Hampshire. He graduated from the University of Bristol in 2011 and has been carrying out implant dentistry since 2014. He completed his Master’s degree in Dental Implantology with merit in 2017, and was invited back to be an academic supervisor on the Master’s programme, becoming a University of Bristol honorary staff member.

Kit has attended numerous advanced implant courses across the UK and Europe to hone his techniques and skills, including an Advanced Surgical Fellowship with Professor Urban.

Kit’s accolades include Best Multiple Implant Treatment in the UK, in the 2023 Dentistry Clinical Case Awards, and Best Young Implant Dentist in the UK, in the 2023 Clinical Dentistry Awards, and he has been shortlisted for many other awards. In addition, Kit is an ADI-registered implant mentor. Dr Marco Cascone graduated from the University of Naples with honours in 2013. He stayed with the university’s oral medicine team until 2017, carrying out clinical research for publication in esteemed international journals. Marco settled in Bristol in 2018, undertaking extensive training in implantology and guided bone regeneration at Delta Dental Academy. Marco’s main areas of interest are restorative and cosmetic dentistry and the science of sleep dentistry. Matthew Brennand Roper

From a family of medics, becoming a health care professional was inevitable. After qualifying from Bristol in 2007 with distinctions and awards in academic and clinical dentistry, I spent time in practice before heading back into the hospital environment. Rotations in Restorative Dentistry and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Bristol Dental Hospital followed by the Royal London and St Bartholomew’s Hospitals provided a wealth of experience in specialist and general dentistry, cancer therapies, facial deformity and trauma. I was successful in winning the only Prosthodontic Specialist Registrar post in the UK in 2010 and have lived and worked in Scotland ever since. I finished seven years of full-time specialist training in 2017 and am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. I have been invited to speak nationally and internationally and have published articles in globally recognised, peer reviewed publications.

Salvatore Sauro

Salvatore Sauro

Dr Salvatore Sauro is currently professor in dental biomaterials and minimally invasive dentistry at the “Departamento de Odontología, Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud, Universidad CEU-Cardenal Herrera”, coordinator of the “Dental Research” and Director (Principal Investigator) of the research group “In Situ Dental Tissues Engineering and Minimally Invasive Therapeutic Adhesive Rehabilitation”.

He is also visiting senior lecturer, at the Faculty of Dentistry, King’s College London Dental Institute (KCLDI), Visiting Professor at the School of Dentistry, Moscow, Sechenov University of Moscow (Russia), Visiting Professor at the School of Dentistry University of Bari (Italy) and honorary Professor at the dental school – University of Hong Kong.

He obtained his Ph.D in “Dental Biomaterials Research Pre-clinical Dentistry” at King’s College London Dental Institute London, where he continued his scientific work as post-doctorate and then as research associate in “Adhesive dentistry and dental bioactive materials research”.

Dr. Sauro has been working in dental biomaterials, preventive and minimally invasive dentistry research for more than 15 years (WoS – H-Index: 36) and he has published, in collaboration with internationally renowned researchers, more than 150 articles in international peer-review journals with high impact in the dental and biomaterials field, along with more several research abstracts and lectures in international conferences.

Professor Sauro is currently the president elect of the Dental Materials Group (DMG) at the International Association of Dental Research (IADR). He is also part of the “editorial board” of several peer-review Journals.

Dr. Terauchi is a part-time lecturer at Tokyo Medical & Dental University and maintains a private practice limited to endodontics since 1998.

Dr Balaji gained his BDS in 1996. He is a highly experienced and respected implant and cosmetic dentist who, as well as carrying out facial rejuvenation, routinely mentors other dentists using the latest skills and techniques. As an Implant Dentist, with over 10 years’ experience, he has placed more than 1500 implants to date, travelled around the world to develop his skills and worked with world-renowned implant surgeons.

Shak was born and brought up in the beautiful valley of Kashmir. In 1988, he commenced his studies in dentistry and qualified in 1992 from the University of Mysore, India and moved to the United Kingdom in 1994. He attained a Master’s degree in Restorative Dentistry from the Queen’s University of Belfast in 1995 and continued to work there till 1997. While undertaking further basic training in Restorative Dentistry at Morriston Hospital, Swansea, he completed his Fellowship in Dental Surgery (FDS RCSEd) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1998. He moved to Dubai in 1999 and worked as Restorative and General Dentist for Emirates Airlines. In August 2000, he returned to the UK to pursue specialist training in Restorative Dentistry at the Newcastle Dental Hospital. He attained his Fellowship in Restorative Dentistry FDS (Rest Dent) RCSEd in November 2004 and completed his specialist training in April 2005. During this period he also completed a 4-year part time research degree and successfully submitted his thesis for attainment of Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Newcastle University. In 2017, he was conferred Fellowship of the Faculty of Dental Trainers (FFDTEd) by The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

In 2005, he was appointed as a Consultant at The Royal London Dental Hospital, part of Barts Health NHS Trust, and in 2018 was appointed as Honorary Clinical Professor in Oral Rehabilitation & Implantology at Queen Mary University of London, Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. Shak is a specialist in Restorative Dentistry, Periodontics, Prosthodontics and Endodontics.

Tom graduated with honours from his BDS qualification from King’s College London in 2017; since completing his training, he has completed a number of postgraduate courses to further his skills, exploring many disciplines across dentistry. He has completed master’s in Implantology, as well as a master’s in Clinical Research. Tom treats patients requiring complex and advanced restorative treatment including dental implants. His areas of particular interest include aesthetic implant dentistry and management of complex restorative cases including functional and aesthetic rehabilitation of patients.

Tom was appointed to a specialist training position in Restorative Dentistry, exploring the theory and practical procedures across a multidisciplinary specialty; these include prosthodontics, periodontology and endodontics. He also has a keen interest in research and has been funded to undertake a PhD in the field of Dental Implantology. This will include a clinical trial for which he was awarded a prestigious Large Clinical Grant from the International Team for Implantology. The work Tom has completed has led to him presenting his research at various conferences, both in the UK and overseas, and has earned him numerous awards for his activities in clinical research. In the clinic, Tom is passionate about sharing knowledge and delivering the best possible care that he is able to provide.

Viraj Patel

Having qualified as a dentist in 2012, Viraj has set out to gain the necessary experience to help him with his goal of becoming one of the lead Implantologists in the UK. He undertook hospital training in Maxillofacial and Oral surgery in 2014 and since has attended multiple Dental Implant courses within the UK. His passion and dedication to achieving perfection and excellence led him to New York City in 2018, where he enrolled for 2 years at New York University (NYU), on the world-renowned Advanced Implant Dentistry Program; famous for training some of the lead dentists currently within the field of implants. Here he excelled, picking up multiple awards and gaining lots of clinical experience, which has led to him being invited to present his work and lecture on the global stage.

Yoshi Terauchi

Yoshi Terauchi

Dr. Terauchi is a part-time lecturer at Tokyo Medical & Dental University and maintains a private practice limited to endodontics since 1998.

He earned his DDS in 1993 and completed his residency at Tokyo Medical & Dental University in 1995, where he also received his PhD from the Department of Endodontics. He has published several articles in peer- reviewed journals nationally and internationally. He also authored in several chapters in textbooks including 11th edition of “Pathways of the Pulp”. He has lectured nationally and internationally and was exposed twice on National TV, for modern endodontics.
