Learn Endo with Real Patients
Our 10-Day course teaches the basics of endodontics, from diagnosis, treatment protocols, instruments, and more. Attendees will learn the biology of endodontic diseases and evidence-based techniques for effective and predictable treatment. Delivered by specialist endodontist Dr. Massimo Giovarruscio this course features a combination of theory and first-hand learning, giving attendees the opportunity to treat patients.
Here at Delta Dental Academy, we provide the latest specialist equipment for the attendees. You will experience seeing Dr. Massimo demonstrate a live root canal through an X16 zoom 3D microscope which is linked to the academy’s 6-ft viewing screen for the ultimate teaching demonstration.
This course is limited to 8 spaces to ensure an intimate teaching experience
Each delegate will perform the following to a good standard
- Rubber dam application on models
- Access cavity preparations and canal location in molars, premolars and incisor on 3D printed teeth, extracted teeth and on real patient (At least 1 case)
- Prepare teeth using rotary sequence (BlueShaper, SlimShaper)
- Prepare teeth using reciprocating technique (Excalibur, WaveOne)
- Fill teeth using warm vertical condensation
- Fill teeth using Hydraulic Calcium Silicate Cements and Single cone technique
- Prepare post hole and cement fibre post using dual resin cement
- Prepare and fill with MTA 1 tooth with immature apex (3D printed tooth and extracted tooth)
- Repair floor perforation on molar and sandwich technique (3D printed tooth and extracted tooth)

Module Three : Hand Strategies to stabilise Dentine-bonded Interfaces

- Lecture on principles and approaches on direct and indirect adhesion
- Lecture on mechanisms of degradation or bonding interfaces and protocols to improve their longevity (Including bioactivity)

Course Leaders
Massimo Giovarruscio
Dr. Massimo Giovarruscio is a highly skilled professional, with extensive experience in endodontics, restorative and aesthetic dentistry.
With over 19 years experience in dentistry, he has developed his reputation within the profession as an excellent clinician, endodontist and postgraduate lecturer.
Active member of the European Society of Endodontology and active member of the Italian Society of Endodontics.
Massimo is recognized by his colleagues for his exceptional talent, professionalism and for his innovative and proactive approach.
Federico Foschi
Dr. Federico Foschi graduated with honours from the Alma Mater Studiorum of Bologna.
He accomplished a PhD in Endodontic Microbiology at the Forsyth Institute, leading to the IADR Pulp Biology award. He moved to the UK, as Lecturer in Endodontology at King’s College London. He became Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England after completing the five-year training in Restorative Dentistry at Guy’s Hospital, London.
He works part time in specialist practice and as Consultant/Senior Lecturer and program director of the MSc in Endodontics of the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences at King’s College. He published 49 peer-reviewed papers and two book chapters. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He is appointed visiting Professor at the I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University. He is the current Training Program Director for Endodontics on behalf of Health Education England.
Frederico Ferreira
Frederico originates from Portugal. After graduating from Porto, he held a post at the university as a clinical assistant, worked in private practice and a private hospital.
Frederico completed his MSc in Endodontics with Distinction at the prestigious King’s College in London. He exclusively practices endodontics and collaborates as a clinical tutor at the Delta Dental Academy in Bristol. He is also a UK Key Opinion Leader for the award-winning German microscope brand CJ OPTIK and Eighteenth Medical.
Dr Ferreira is a member British Endodontic Society (BES), the European Society of Endodontology (ESE), the British Academy of Microscope Dentistry (BAMD) and the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry (AMED)

Salvatore Sauro
Dr Salvatore Sauro is currently professor in dental biomaterials and minimally invasive dentistry at the “Departamento de Odontología, Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud, Universidad CEU-Cardenal Herrera”, coordinator of the “Dental Research” and Director (Principal Investigator) of the research group “In Situ Dental Tissues Engineering and Minimally Invasive Therapeutic Adhesive Rehabilitation”.
He is also visiting senior lecturer, at the Faculty of Dentistry, King’s College London Dental Institute (KCLDI), Visiting Professor at the School of Dentistry, Moscow, Sechenov University of Moscow (Russia), Visiting Professor at the School of Dentistry University of Bari (Italy) and honorary Professor at the dental school – University of Hong Kong.
He obtained his Ph.D in “Dental Biomaterials Research Pre-clinical Dentistry” at King’s College London Dental Institute London, where he continued his scientific work as post-doctorate and then as research associate in “Adhesive dentistry and dental bioactive materials research”.
Dr. Sauro has been working in dental biomaterials, preventive and minimally invasive dentistry research for more than 15 years (WoS – H-Index: 36) and he has published, in collaboration with internationally renowned researchers, more than 150 articles in international peer-review journals with high impact in the dental and biomaterials field, along with more several research abstracts and lectures in international conferences.
Professor Sauro is currently the president elect of the Dental Materials Group (DMG) at the International Association of Dental Research (IADR). He is also part of the “editorial board” of several peer-review Journals.

I did the ProArch course recently. I was sceptical about the whole concept, but after doing the course, I’m able to assess the suitability of this concept and treat my patients in a better way. Alfonso explained it so nicely, and not only the hands on was useful, but the live surgery including the process of fabrication of the prosthesis and immediate placement was fantastic. It has given me a lot of understanding and knowledge about the pro-arch concept and the use of Straumann BLX Implants system is just fantastic. I would highly recommend this course and courses run by Delta Academy.

It has been amazing, (not sure if it’s a course or a holiday as having so much fun doing this), Massimo and Federico were so down to Earth and provided us with very informative lectures and practical demos, full of tips, techniques and helped problem solve. The hands on was fantastic, we did procedures on plastic teeth and extracted teeth and did so much in the time we had. I have been on quite a few endo courses but this definitely is the best that I’ve experienced. The atmosphere was so relaxed and quite entertaining. Being a small group was an advantage as we each had individual attention. Thank you so much I’m actually finally enjoying endo. I think the biggest difference to this course and others is that we will by working on live patients, under close supervision. This will definitely boost my confidence.
